Terms and Conditions.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

1 – Bookings and payments.

 Your booking must be accompanied by an initial payment of the agreed portion of the costs of your stay and implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.

After confirming your booking, you will receive an email confirming the details of your stay (booking number, arrival and departure dates, number of guests and rooms, and the initial payment and remaining balance). The remaining balance must be paid 72 hours before arrival or in cash upon receiving the key if you have opted for a NON-REFUNDABLE rate.

Payment methods

Payment methods: We accept payment by debit or credit card, VISA or Mastercard. Card details are required as a guarantee at the time of booking and for the booking to be considered valid.

VAT.

All prices quoted on our website or elsewhere for rooms and services at The Venue Hostel include VAT (the general sales tax in Spain). If VAT rates change, we reserve the right to modify our prices accordingly.

Age restriction (Children and Adults).

Accommodation for minors (aged 16 and over 60) no está permitido.

Pets.

Pets are generally not permitted. However, please enquire about the possibility in your specific case.

Smoking.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises of The Venue Hostel. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate expulsion from the establishment without any compensation being paid to the guest.

2 – Booking cancellation policy.

No cancellations are permitted for NON-REFUNDABLE rates.

For all other rates, cancellation is free if made more than 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date will incur no charge. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to arrival, 50% of the booking amount will be charged.

If we need to change or cancel your booking (does not apply to non-refundable rates).

We do not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, however, sometimes problems occur and bookings must be changed or cancelled. We will only change or cancel your booking, if necessary, to carry out or complete essential repair or renovation work, or for other reasons unforeseen at the time you made your booking, which are beyond our reasonable control.

If we have to change or cancel your booking, we will do our utmost to offer you a suitable alternative booking. If we are unable to offer you a suitable alternative, or if you do not accept the alternative we offer, we will refund the full amount you paid us for the booking, but we will not be liable for any other loss you may suffer.

3 – Arrivals / Departures.

Llegadas.

We would appreciate it if you could provide us with your best estimate of your arrival time. Arrivals take place between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. If guests arrive earlier, we will do our best to store their luggage until they check into their room, but we will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred. For arrivals after midnight, advance notice must be given so that we can determine the best way to facilitate your arrival.

Departures.

As a general rule, guests must check out before 10:00 a.m. If guests wish, subject to staff availability, we will try to store their luggage in our reception area for a fee of €3 per 24 hours, but we will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred.

 Provided that rooms are available, check-in and check-out outside the stipulated times will be permitted whenever possible. In some cases (see below), an additional fee must be paid upon check-in or check-out (€5 per hour).

4 – Cleaning.

The Venue Hostel guarantees optimal hygiene conditions in the room, with its specialised cleaning staff performing a thorough cleaning and disinfection before guests arrive and after they depart. In addition, cleaning and bed making will be performed daily. Stays longer than 7 nights include a weekly change of bed linen and towels. If you require additional changes of bed linen, please inform the property. With regard to towels, in the interests of environmental conservation, guests are kindly requested not to throw them on the floor for replacement unless absolutely necessary.

 

5 – Be courteous to others.

Out of consideration for other guests, we ask that you respect those who wish to sleep. For this reason, we kindly request that you refrain from raising your voice after 11 p.m. and leave the terrace/garden by midnight. Parties are strictly prohibited unless specifically authorised.

 

6 – Data protection.

All personal information provided by guests will be kept confidential and secret. Data is entered into The Venue Hostel's system for booking and contact information purposes. In accordance with European data protection legislation, guests may rectify or cancel their data whenever they wish. 7 – Responsibilities.

The Venue Hostel is not responsible for damage caused by guests, loss, theft or accidents inside or outside the room. Loss of the apartment key will incur an additional charge of EUR 10. If guests leave the key in the lock and a locksmith has to be called, the respective charges will be allocated to the guests.

 

8 – Our access rights.

Apart from daily cleaning services, our staff or contractors may need to access your room if there is an unforeseen problem, to investigate a complaint you have made, or to carry out certain routine checks on the property. If this occurs, we will do our best to inform you in advance of the date and time we will need access.

9 – Our right to evict.

We may terminate our contract with you and ask you to leave your accommodation immediately (without having to pay any compensation) if

– We believe that you or your company have breached these terms and conditions;

– We consider that your behaviour or that of your company jeopardises the safety of our visitors or staff;

– complaints are made about antisocial or unacceptable behaviour against you or your company;

– you or your company cause irreparable damage to the property or its contents; or

– exceeds the maximum occupancy limit for your accommodation.

10 – Events beyond our control.

We shall not be liable for any failure to fulfil our obligations under these general terms and conditions caused by an event beyond our control.

An event beyond our control means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, strikes or other industrial action, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war or threat of war, civil commotion, riots, invasion, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks.

 

11 – Various.

Guests may not use the rooms for commercial or immoral purposes.

The Venue Hostel reserves the right to modify the information contained on its website for online bookings at any time and is the sole owner of its content.

If guests have requested a specific room, every effort will be made to accommodate their request, but we reserve the right to change the room initially assigned.

These terms and conditions are governed by Spanish law and by the exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts.

 

12 – If you have a problem or complaint.

We strive to ensure that our complex maintains a high standard of quality. However, if you have any issues with your room, please contact us immediately and give us the opportunity to resolve them.
